Go Min-si Loses Reunion With Lee Do-hyun Over School Bullying Controversy, Shin Si-ah Steps In

On June 26, Go Min-si’s agency, Mystic Story, told TenAsia, “It is true that Go Min-si has decided not to appear in Grand Galaxy Hotel. We determined that, rather than proceeding with filming while the school bullying allegations remain unresolved, it would be better to address this issue first. After amicable discussions with the production team, we decided to withdraw.”

Last month, Go Min-si was embroiled in school bullying allegations. Shortly after, Grand Galaxy Hotel’s production company, Imaginus, stated to TenAsia, “We trust the actress,” and initially confirmed no changes to the casting. They added, “No specific facts have been established, and since full-scale production will begin after Tastefully Yours and Perfect Job, there is still time to respond cautiously.”
Ultimately, actress Shin Si-ah replaced Go Min-si. Grand Galaxy Hotel is a new project by writers Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, known as the Hong Sisters, with Lee Do-hyun confirmed to star.

Born in 1998, Shin Si-ah gained attention after being cast as the lead in The Witch: Part 2. The Other One (2022), beating 1,408:1 odds. She recently starred in Resident Playbook, marking her first lead role in a drama, earning industry recognition as a rising star. She recently parted ways with ANDMARQ and signed with Management Soop.

Lee Do-hyun, born in 1995, enlisted in the Air Force in 2023 and was discharged on May 13, 2025. As his comeback project post-military service, Grand Galaxy Hotel drew significant attention. Initial news of his reunion with Go Min-si sparked mixed reactions, with some praising the “trusted duo” from past collaborations and others feeling it was “repetitive.” However, anticipation is growing for his new chemistry with Shin Si-ah.

Grand Galaxy Hotel is slated to begin filming in the second half of 2025.
